Then I right click the downloaded program, tried to run it in Vista compatability mode and ran it. and save the program to your downloads folder. Go to Netflix, go to your instant queue, click on download upgrade, it may start downloading then fail, if so, you can try to download again, or you can right click and save target as. So i deleted the key and went back to netflix. It was a pop up saying, here is a possible solution to a problem you reported, go to start, all programs, accessories, command prompt, right click and make sure it is running as administrator then it asked me to type in the reg edit delete command with a key. Now I cannot recall the which key I deleted, darn, if you know how I can check let me know so I can share the info. I got a windows fix help from MS to remove a key that would help. I got Netflix to work for me today on Windows 7 Beta 64bit Public Releaseįirst i tried it (first time today but try it everyday) so i hit send feedback. Only Windows 2000 and below are not support from what i tried.
#NETFLIX APP FOR WINDOWS 7 LOW RESOURCES MOVIE#
and netflix just updated their movie player about a month and a half ago. and when in doubt, call help and support, they might be able to help, even though that windows 7 is in beta, but however it should be supported. and it may also ask you to install their silverlight player as well before playing the movie. in the older version of the netflix software, a restart was required when installing the software and sometimes it did not work with windows media player 12, but now it does. when you go to play the movie, the software to play the movie should download automatically and then the movie should then start playing.
it should not give you a message about the OS not being supported. Windows 7 works better in 32-bit mode than 64-bit mode, but ok its your pc. first of all make sure IE8 is in compatibility mode. Jess i'm running the RC at this point and i got netfix to work, but oddly there is an issue with the player because they updated it so that now it does not automatically disable the screen saver and whatnot.
#NETFLIX APP FOR WINDOWS 7 LOW RESOURCES HOW TO#
Any help or suggestions on how to go about being able to access and view stuff from netflix on my PC would really be appreciated. I do have the install files saved from installing it on my Vista 圆4 system but not sure how or if I should try to run those files on my Win 7 RC 圆4 system. Instead of the movie playing I get a mmsg saying this os isn't supported. I went to netflix and logged in and click play on an item in my instant queue. Not sure if anyones still paying attention to this thread but I am having problems.
